Gliding Hawkes Bay & Waipukurau Club Membership Fee Structure
(as at 01 July 2024, subject to change)
Student Pilot $490 per year
This category is for members joining and learning to fly. They are normally entitled to fly only the training two seater and YP.
Once they have obtained their XC Pilot / QGP, or equivalent qualification, and wish to fly other club gliders, they must become full flying members.
Full Flying Member $1,100 per year
(including private owners)
This category entitles members to fly all club gliders.
Junior Member (studying) $nil while subsidised by Gliding New Zealand
This category is for people up to the age of 26 and in full time study.
Junior Member (working) $120 once employed
This category is for people up to the age of 26 who are no longer studying full time and are working.
Tow Pilot $330 per year
This category does not include any club glider usage.
Active Life Member $490 per year
This category is bestowed by the club and entitles limited club glider usage.
Associate Member $40 per year
This category is for non-flying members or flying members of another NZ Gliding Club.
Tow Charges $10.00 per minute for full members
$5.00 per minute for all Junior members
Tow Plane Hire $4.00 per Hobbs meter minute ($240 per hour) for non-towing flying
HB engine use $6.00 per minute for all members
All fees are to be in advance i.e. Members must be in credit at all times.
All membership fees are due for payment in July or proportionally from the month of joining the club.
